INUWA International met with ADPHA Uganda in Kampala to discuss disability-inclusive HIV and TB programming, youth participation, community engagement and sustainable livelihoods. The meeting formed part of INUWA’s Uganda programme, strengthening knowledge exchange and exploring opportunities for future collaboration.

Day 2 of the INUWA Uganda Community & Youth Empowerment Programme focused on programme implementation, teamwork and learning from local experience, including insights from HIV activist Barbara Kemigisa and her community work in Hoima, Uganda.

Our work started with HIV. Today, it goes beyond HIV. As our work expands into areas such as mental health and community wellbeing, one belief remains at the centre of what we do: people are more than the health challenges they face. By listening to communities, respecting their dignity and building on their strengths, we aim to support change that can last. As we prepare for our upcoming programme in Uganda, we are taking this people-centred approach with us.
